Creating an Account

Accounts on Otechie are groups of one of more users that represent a company or organization. Most interaction you do with Otechie will be in the context of an account.

Your First Account

You will be walked through creating your first account after you register on Otechie. To create a consulting account, you will need to set an account name, profile page url, currency, and can optionally set a blurb about your account that will be displayed on your profile page. After you create your account you will be brought to the Setup Tasks tab of Settings. Here you can find a list of tasks that wil help you finish setting up and making the most of your Otechie account. You can click on a task listed here to complete it.

Managing Accounts

You can switch your active account by clicking the account dropdown and selecting a new account in your settings. You can create a new account by clicking the new account option here. To delete or leave an account go to Settings > Account Settings with that account selected then scroll to the bottom and click the relevant button found there.

Client Accounts

When clients start a conversation with you, an account is automatically created for them. They can update their profile, and members of this account in their settings. If you would like to convert a client account to a consulting account, please contact us.

Inviting Account Members

Members of client and consultant accounts can invite new members to their account by going to Settings > Teammates. Account members will see all of the conversations that account is involved in.
